Over the weekend, South Dakota Sen. Mike Rounds took the oath of office for his second term serving in the United States Senate.
Rounds says working on behalf of South Dakotans is a privilege and he’s thankful his wife Jean was able to join him for the ceremony. He says he looks forward to getting to work on the important issues.
This was Jean’s first trip to Washington, DC, since she first started cancer treatment in June 2019. Rounds was sworn into office by Vice President Mike Pence and escorted by US Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.).
