A 68 year old man from Blunt has been identified as the person killed in a Wednesday afternoon (4:25pm Feb. 24) accident three miles east of Blunt.
Information from the South Dakota Highway Patrol says Thomas Feldman was driving a 2000 Ford Ranger northbound on 314th Avenue when he failed to yield at the intersection with 198th Street. The vehicle collided with a 2015 GMC Sierra, driven by 48 year old William Dumond of Inver Grove Heights, MN, that was westbound on 198th Street.
The Feldman was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt. Dumond was wearing a seat belt and sustained minor injuries.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
The Highway Patrol is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
