Llewellyn Frank Bagola, 45, of Cherry Creek, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in Eagle Butte.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. MDT, Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the Cherry Creek Gym, Cherry Creek.  Burial will follow at the UCC Cemetery, Cherry Creek. A wake service will be at 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 10, 2021 at the gym, with a procession from the 2-Mile at 4:00 p.m.

Lou was born on July 4, 1975 in Eagle Butte, to Llewellyn Bagola Sr. and Irene Waloke.

Lou spent his childhood years in Cherry Creek and Cottonwood Creek, and he attended school at Cherry Creek Day School and Takini School. He enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting with his nephews. He had a great sense of humor. He liked to help when someone needed yard work done or snow shoveled. Lou always respected his elders, and he was a very caring and loving brother, uncle, father and grandpa.

Lou is survived by his four children: Daniel Bagola, Lincoln, NE, Devlon Romero, Lincoln, NE, Llewellyn Bagola III, St. Paul, MN, and Tonya Norcross, St. Paul, MN; brothers: Myron Bagola Sr., Rock Creek, SD, and Loren (Camille) Bagola Sr., Big Cottonwood Creek – Cherry Creek; sisters: Marian Bagola (George Eagle Chasing) Eagle Butte, Raylene Ochoa, Cherry Creek, and Renee Bagola, Lincoln, NE; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He will be laid to rest beside his family: mother, Irene Bagola; father, Llewellyn Bagola Sr.; brother, Byron Bagola; son, Lane Bagola; other family members: Tune Bowker, Alverta Bowker, Alvin Bowker, Frank and Edith Waloke, Mary Bagola, Clementine and Maurice Big Eagle, Franklin Bear Looks Running, Clifford Demery, Theophile and Myrtle Little Shield, LeRoy Brings Plenty, Vernon Bear Looks Running, Cunningham Cunnen and Chubs Crow Ghost.
