HAMLIN – Todd Neuendorf has accepted an offer to become boys’ basketball head coach at Hamlin, leaving the same position at Mitchell.
Neuendorf took over at Mitchell in 2017 in the middle of the Kernels’ 42-game losing streak. But the program turned around, resulting in a 15-9 finish this past season and Mitchell’s first state tournament appearance in 10 seasons.
Neuendorf replaces Hamlin Superintendent Pat Kraning, who became the Chargers’ head coach last season after Kirk Beebout left to become the girls’ basketball head coach in Pierre.
Neuendorf is a former head coach at Aberdeen Roncalli. He led the Cavaliers to the 2015 Class A state championship.
