They were married June of 1985 in Agar, South Dakota at St John’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed watching Carrie in the Sully Buttes Band and Aaron in Football and Basketball. Upon retirement, they moved to Onida and enjoyed spending time with friends, traveling around the United States and internationally and visiting all of their grandchildren in Iowa and Georgia.

She was an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran, playing the organ and a member of LWML. She was also the Treasurer of the American Legion Auxiliary.
