Charges are pending against a Fort Pierre teenager after a one vehicle rollover north of Fort Pierre Friday morning.
According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, 17-year-old Trevor Habeck was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Suburban southbound on Highway 1806 five miles north of Fort Pierre when he swerved to miss four deer crossing the road. Habeck lost control and eventually rolled his vehicle in the south ditch. Habeck was picked up by a family member and left the scene without reporting the crash. He was later taken to the Pierre hospital by a family member to be treated for minor injuries.
The accident happened shortly before 9am Friday. Habeck was wearing a seatbelt and was the only occupant in the vehicle. The Highway Patrol is investigating.
