Two 16 year-old boys, one from Watertown and one from Henry, face criminal charges after authorities saw a video they posted on social media.
Codington County Chief Deputy Sheriff Brent Solum says the video shows the two boys in a vehicle intentionally swerving to hit a cow that was attempting to cross a road southeast of Watertown.
The kids in the video can be heard laughing after the cow was hit, but law enforcement doesn’t find it to be funny at all.
Solum says they were able to identify the owner of the cow.
Solum says the cow was pregnant and had to be put down.
The vehicle the juveniles were in had little damage.
