Merlin J. Bruguier, Sr., age 56, of Green Grass, SD, entered the Spirit World on Monday,
August 2, 2021, Eagle Butte, SD.
Merlin is survived three sons: Merlin Bruguier, Jr. of Eagle Butte, Arlen Bruguier, Swift Bird,
SD, and Truman Bruguier-Bear Catches of Kenel, SD. Three daughters: Collette Bruguier,
Swift Bird, SD, Maggie Bruguier, Black Foot, SD and LaDawn Bruguier of Yankton, SD.
Seven brothers: Arlen Bruguier, Alvin Bruguier, Steven Bruguier, Narcisse Bruguier,Terrance
Circle Bear and Stanley Morrison all of Eagle Butte, Richard Bruguier, Pine Ridge, SD and
hunka brothers, Randy Pickner of Eagle Butte. Two sisters: Rhea Bruguier, Green Grass, SD
and Mona Long Chase of Eagle Butte, SD. Numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A wake service will begin at 4:00 PM (MST), Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the CRST Bingo
Hall at Eagle Butte. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 AM (MST), Friday, August 13, 2021,
at the CRST Bingo Hall, with Marty and LuAnne Oas and Jedediah Jazek officiating. Following
services, a luncheon will be served and burial will follow at the UCC Cemetery at Green Grass,
SD.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rooks Funeral Home of Eagle Butte, SD.
