SELBY – Herreid/Selby Area was down Friday, but made sure to not be out.
Brenden Begeman rushed for a third-quarter touchdown, caught a tying touchdown pass from Tray Hettick, then scored the go-ahead two-point conversion as the Wolverines rallied for a 16-14 win over De Smet to advance to the 9A championship game.
Begeman rushed for 134 yards for Herreid/Selby Area (11-0) to give the program its second title game appearance in three seasons.
