Eva Kelsch, 92, of Selfridge passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, at the Mobridge Regional Hospital in Mobridge. Private family services will be held at a later date. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge is in charge of arrangements.
Eva Isabella (Laintz) Kelsch was born on November 7, 1929, to Max and Benigna (Gross) Laintz. She was educated in rural school and graduated from Selfridge Public High School in 1948. She married Lawrence Kelsch from McLaughlin on June 28, 1948. To this union were born two sons, Larry and Max.
They farmed in the area for forty years. Eva was a secretary/bookkeeper for 35 continuous years for three different businesses in Selfridge, Smestads U-Save Store, Merchant’s Lumber and Implement and Selfridge Cheese Company.
Grateful for sharing her life are sons, Larry (June) and Max (Tracy), three grandchildren, Travis (Rochell) Jody and Nevada, six great grandchildren, Lexus, Logan (Amber), Tanner, TayLynn, Cutter and Tucker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, and four sisters.
