Memorial services for Mark L. Adamson, 54, of Chamberlain, SD will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the United Church of Christ in Chamberlain with burial in the Pukwana Cemetery at Pukwana, SD. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the memorial services.
Mark Lynn Adamson passed away on November 27, 2021 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.
Mark Lynn Adamson was born to Jimmie and Vaye Jean (Brooks) Adamson on September 17, 1967 in Mitchell, SD. Mark grew up and attended Chamberlain Public School, graduating in 1986. He worked various jobs but has spent the last 30 years at St. Joseph’s Indian School in Chamberlain.
On October 27, 1990, Mark was united in marriage to Cali Lantz and to this union two children were born, Lynzi and Ethan.
Mark was an amazing man. He was happy and friendly and would help anyone he could. He loved spending time with his kids, especially his grandkids Zaydi and Berhyt. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and hobby farming. Mark enjoyed going to the lawn mower races and racing mowers. He loved being on the river and especially going to the beach with his grandkids, going to the Big Horn Mountains and growing pumpkins. His goal was to grow the biggest pumpkin.
Gratefully sharing his life are his wife Cali Adamson of Pukwana, SD; son Ethan (Jenna Ripp) Adamson of Chamberlain, SD; daughter Lynzi (Cody) Korzan and their two children Zaydi and Berhyt of Kimball, SD; parents Jimmie and Vaye Jean Adamson of Chamberlain, SD; brother Rick (Joleen Romkema) Adamson of Chamberlain, SD; mother-in-law Cynthia Lantz of Pukwana, SD; sister-in-law Cara (Darrell) Miller of Pukwana, SD; two nieces Carli (Cody) Cuka and children Willow, Wylin, and Wrenna of Tyndall, SD, and Rilee (Garrett) Christensen and children Magnolia and Flint of Chamberlain, SD; several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents Earl and Jean Adamson and Ben and Opal Brooks, father-in-law Clifford Lantz, and a great nephew Chet Christensen.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
