A semi cab was lost, but no calves were injured in a vehicle fire last night (Nov. 30, 2021) on Highway 83 south of Fort Pierre.
Assistant fire chief Tye Odden says they got the call about 9:45pm.
Odden says the semi was hauling calves from Canada to Nebraska.
Odden says they aren’t sure what caused the semi cab to catch on fire.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
