A 32 year old man from Oacoma convicted of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender has received his punishment from a federal court judge.
Darrell Bear Robe was sentenced to 12 months and one day in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release and must pay a special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund in the amount of $100.
Bear Robe was convicted in 2008 for Abusive Sexual Contact. As a result of this conviction, he is required to register as a sex offender and to update his registration under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act. Between October 25, 2020, and November 25, 2020, Bear Robe moved out of his previously registered address and failed to update his registration with a new address.
This case was investigated by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Lyman County Sheriff’s Office.
Bear Robe was immediately turned over to the custody of the US Marshals Service.
