Shirley Hiller, 86, of Onida, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2021. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00am, Tuesday, January 18, 2021 at Onida Methodist Church with Funeral Services at 11:00am. Interment will be at the Onida Cemetery.

Shirley Jean Westphal was born December 22, 1935 at Gettysburg SD in the Westphal Nursing Home to Benjamin and Edith Sutton Westphal.

Shirley attended school in Onida SD. In April of 1953, Shirley met Marvin Hiller. They were married August 16th, 1953. To this union five children were born: Benjamin, Claude, Wade, Barbara Jean, and Wesley.

Shirley was a homemaker in which she enjoyed crocheting, sewing and canning. Many of her crocheted items are still used by her family and church as Christmas decorations. Shirley also enjoyed drawing which she was very good at and word puzzles.

Shirley is survived by her sons: Wade (Rondha) and Wesley, Grandchildren Maghan Merrill and Justin (Linden) Hiller, Great granddaughter Karmen Merrill, In-laws Roy and Charlotte Hiller, Mary Hiller and Lorraine Miller and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant children Benjamin, Claude and Barbara Jean, husband and sisters Inez, Lois and Donna.
