YANKTON – In every way, the Pierre Governor girls were too much for the Yankton Gazelles on Thursday.
Pierre’s defense was again stifling and offense worked in the interior and outside as the Governors led basically from start to finish in a 57-27 win over Yankton at the Summit Activities Center.
Reese Terwilliger had a double-double for Pierre (5-9), establishing a career-high with 15 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. Ayvrie Kaiser scored 14. Lennix DuPris hit three three-pointers and had 11 points. Remington Price scored nine.
Pierre forced 17 Yankton turnovers, outrebounded the home team 33-21, and shot 43 percent from the floor to win back-to-back games for the second time this season.
