Tisha Fast Horse, 50, of Eagle Butte, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. MST, Saturday, February 12, 2022, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Eagle Butte. Burial will follow in the LaPlant Catholic Cemetery. A wake service will be held 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 11, 2022, at the church with a procession from the 4-mile at 4:00 p.m.
Tisha Ann Shaving was born June 10, 1971 at IHS in Eagle Butte. She went to school at the Swift Bird Day School, Cheyenne – Eagle Butte High School and went to Presentation College in Eagle Butte. She grew up in LaPlant and later moved to Eagle Butte.
She was employed at numerous places – White Horse Headstart, Law Enforcement, Prosecutor’s Office and she was employed at the CRST Emergency Children’s Shelter when she got COVID in December of 2020, she worked there for six years.
Tisha is survived by her husband, Al; daughter, Alisha; sister, Lynelle; brother, Jalen; uncles: Larry Charger, Mike and Francis Shaving; aunts: Delilah and Winona Charger, Jennie LeBeau, Rita and Sonya Shaving; three nieces who she loved dearly: CeCe, Nevaeh and Naliyah; and nephews, the Buffalo brothers.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Shaving; mother, Colette Charger Shaving; infant son, Reuben; sister, Tonia; maternal grandparents, Philip and Meta Good Face Charger; maternal great grandparents, Samuel and Rosa Red Weasel Charger; paternal grandparents, Paul and Grace Useful Heart Shaving; paternal great grandparents, Charlie and Jennie Swift Eagle Shaving, Pete and Lucy Egna Useful Heart; uncles: Leonard, Robert and Clarence Charger and Gerald Shaving; aunts: Phyllis, Anna and Myrna Charger; and many other relatives.
Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Tisha’s arrangements.
