The Hughes County Highway Department will begin shoulder work on the northwest corner of the intersection of Grey Goose Road and Highway 1804 on Monday (June 10).
They will be adding dirt to widen the shoulder in an effort to improve the safety of the intersection. There may be some delays as a result of the construction work, but at this point, no road closure is planned and no work will take place on the actual roadway.
Trucks and construction equipment will be entering and leaving the work and flaggers may also be present. County officials ask the public to slow down and use caution as they travel through that area. Trucks will frequently be entering and leaving the roadway. Due to the site layout, visibility may not be ideal, so increased caution is necessary.
This project should be completed in a couple of weeks, but additional roadwork is planned for Grey Goose Road later this summer.
