Steven William Ellsworth, 1956-2022

Services for Steve Ellsworth and his son Brad Ellsworth will be Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11:00 am at Washburn-McReavy Werness Brothers Bloomington Chapel, 2300 W Old Shakopee Road, Bloomington, MN 55431. There will also be a burial ceremony for Steve in Summit SD at a later date.

Steven William Ellsworth, age 65 died on February 12, 2022 at his home in Mobridge after learning of the untimely death of his son, Brad.  Steve was born on February 29, 1956 to Ruth Ellsworth Gramberg in Pierre, SD. He graduated from Summit High School in 1974. After high school he served in the US Air Force. In 1991, Steve moved to Mobridge where he worked for Culligan and later was a plumber for Water Resources Inc. Steve was a social and active man who enjoyed visiting with friends and family. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his sons and granddaughters.

Steve is survived by his son, Ben (Laura Simmons) of Red Wing, MN, his daughter-in-law Jael Ellsworth of Rosemount, MN, and his granddaughters Annabelle and Emma. Steve is also survived by his brother, Loren Gramberg of Watertown and three sisters, Eunice Amdahl of Summit, Janice Remington of Zimmerman, MN, and Jeanette (Gary) Underwood of Milbank. Steve is also survived by two bonus sisters, Karen Shepherd of Webster and Joan Shepherd of Elkton along with several nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his son, Brad, his mother, Ruth, and his step-father, Wesley Gramberg.

Memorials can be sent to a Go Fund Me account that has been established to assist with Steve’s funeral expenses.
