Belinda Mary Brown Wolf was born on March 18, 1990, in Rapid City, SD, to the late Quentin “Que” Brown Wolf and Joyce (Blue Coat) Young Bird. She attended school at Cheyenne Eagle Butte and later transferred to Continental Academy in Florida, where she received her high school diploma with honor.
In the summer of 2010, Belinda, along with her nephew Keiser, worked as US Forestry workers with the National Park Service Fire and Aviation Management in Nemo, SD. Belinda also worked as District Deputy for the Eagle Butte area during 2011 and 2012, and she was part time security guard for Medicine Wheel Village Center during that same time. In May 2014, Belinda started her career with CRST Law Enforcement as an Adult Detention Officer. She was proud to wear her badge and uniform for this job where she gained brothers and sisters, and she always had their “six”! Belinda was known as “Blendrz” or “Balinz” by her law enforcement family and friends. Belinda worked at Dupree Lakota Thrifty Mart as a cashier for a short time before going back to CRST Law Enforcement as a 911 Emergency Dispatcher in April 2022 until January 2023 when she became sick and was no longer able to work. When Belinda was younger, she told her grandmother Goldie that she wanted to be a police officer someday. Her grandmother was happy for her and proud that she wanted to help her people.
During her time here on earth, Belinda was given a pup that she raised. He was her “baby” and she named him Mylo. He was never out of her sight as they were always together. Belinda’s favorite sports teams were the Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Dodgers. She enjoyed going on road trips, listening to music, watching movies, driving around on back roads, taking Milo to run wild in a field, hanging out with friends, family, and work “family”, and playing video games. Belinda’s most memorable road trip was driving from South Dakota to San Diego, California to watch her nephew, Gavin, graduate from the Marine Corps, and driving through Las Vegas, Nevada on the way home.
If you knew “Blendrz” or “Belinz”, she was always teasing or telling jokes. She had a smile for everyone she met. She will be greatly missed and forever loved by all.
