Mass of Christian Burial for Brittany Free, 29, of Bullhead will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bullhead. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be held from 1 PM-2 PM, prior to the service. Brittany passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the Mobridge Regional Hospital.
Brittany Free grew up in Bullhead and Kenel, South Dakota with her many siblings and cousins whom she loved spending time with. Brittany attended Rock Creek Headstart, Rock Creek Grant School, Pierre Indian Learning Center, Standing Rock Elementary and Wakpala High School. She was very smart in academics and loved bragging about her culture teacher Doug White Bull. She was always eager to learn new things. Brittany loved music, arts and crafts and designing her own clothing, hanging out with and doing fun things with her nieces and nephews. She was a very caring person and would give the shirt off her back to anyone. Being around family and friends was her thing up until the day she left us. We love you, Britt!
Brittany is survived by her children, Brayden Brown, Liam Free, Mya Archambault and Ezekial Crow Ghost, her mother, Patricia Brown of Bullhead, sisters, Shana Left Hand and Hope Brown of Bullhead, Kateri Brown and Carol Free of McLaughlin, Patina Brown of Mandan, Megan Agard of Sioux Falls, June Free of Kenel, Stacey Little Bear, brothers, William Left Hand and Caleb Brown of Bullhead, Andrew Brown of Cannonball, Kaelon Brown of Mandan, her nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts and many cousins and friends and grandchildren.
Brittany is preceded in death by her father, Mark Free, Sr., paternal grandparents, Ron and Aleta Free, maternal grandmothers, Joyce Hollow and Josephine Hollow, her sisters, Camilla Brown and Saidee Brown, brothers, Derrick Left Hand, Mark Free, Jr., Uncle Brian Marshall, Sr., Aunt Adelle White, cousin RJ Marshall.
