As part of preparations to sell the old City Hall lot, the City of Pierre is trying to bring the lot lines into modern standards.
The lot is located on Sioux Avenue. City Planner Sharon Pruess says it’s bordered on the south by Dakota Avenue and on the east and west sides by Chapelle Street and Highland Avenue.
City commissioner Jamie Huizenga says making these changes creates appropriate legal boundaries for the next owner— when the lot goes up for sale.
The Pierre City Commission is expected to take action on both requests at the March 19 meeting.
