A 38-year-old Pierre, SD, man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance.
Arlyn Keckler pled not guilty.
The Indictment alleges that for approximately four years, Keckler intentionally conspired with others to possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance.
The maximum penalty if convicted is up to life in federal prison– including a mandatory minimum of 10 years in federal prison,– a $10-million fine, a lifetime of supervised release and restitution.
Keckler was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending trial. A trial date has not been set.
