A 63-year-old Pierre woman convicted of stealing over $3,000 from her employer has been sentenced in Stanley County Court.
States Attorney Tom Maher says Diana Peterson’s request for a suspended imposition of sentence was granted. Peterson was also ordered to successfully complete 3 years of supervised probation, pay restitution to the Cowboy Country Store in Fort Pierre, perform at least 25 hours of community service per week until further notice, reimburse Stanley County for the cost of her court-appointed attorney and other probation conditions of supervision.
Peterson pled guilty to Grand Theft by Embezzlement last month. She was working as a cashier at the Cowboy store at the time of the thefts.
