Several tenants were evacuated for a short time yesterday (Tues.) evening after an apartment building resident left bacon cooking unattended.
Pierre Volunteer Fire Department chief Ian Paul says they were alerted to heavy smoke filling one of the apartments.
Paul reminds people to be attentive while cooking.
