Space is Limited for 20th Anniversary Convention; Fox News Tomi Lahren to Deliver Keynote Address

By DRG Media Group News Jul 8, 2019 | 8:25 AM
R-CALF USA’s 20th Anniversary Convention is fast approaching, and trade show booths and hotel rooms will soon be in short supply. The two-day event is slated for Aug. 15-16 at The Lodge at Deadwood, located at 100 Pine Crest Lane. Participants can expect to gain a tremendous amount of knowledge on issues that impact their cattle businesses and Fox News host Tomi Lahren will deliver a keynote address to R-CALF members.

“This year, members can receive the R-CALF rate through July 16 at two hotels,” said R-CALF USA Development Director Tatum Lee. She said the rooms are filling up fast, so members should call The Lodge at Deadwood at 877-393-5634 or the First Gold Hotel at 605-545-7865 and ask for the R-CALF rate starting at $119 per night, plus tax. The First Gold Hotel located at 270 Main Street is a 3-minute drive to The Lodge at Deadwood.

Also, members who want to pre-register for the convention and meals should contact the R-CALF office or register online at www.RCALFConvention.com,” Lee said.

“There are only a handful of booths still available, so companies that want to reach out to our members need to reserve their space as quickly as possible by calling me at 405-834-5710 or registering online,” Lee continued. “Also, as an added benefit, all trade show vendors and sponsors who register this week will receive free recognition in R-CALF USA’s Official Convention Program insert in the Tri-State Livestock News on August 4, which reaches the households of more than 15,000 livestock owners/operators.

“Registration fees and meals for credentialed domestic media will be complimentary again this year,” she said. Media interested in covering the event should contact the R-CALF office or register online.

Discussions throughout the convention will cover several topics important to the live cattle industry, including property rights, animal identification, international trade, and country-of-origin labeling (COOL). Also planned are updates from R-CALF USA’s attorneys on its checkoff lawsuit and antitrust lawsuit. More detailed information about each speaker will be issued in the Tri-State Livestock News’ Official R-CALF USA Convention Program. R-CALF members will receive a complimentary issue of the August 4 issue. The agenda can also be viewed online.

“We are proudly serving only USA-born, raised and harvested beef that will be provided by Wall Meat Processing in South Dakota,” Lee concluded.
