City owned facilities at Downs Marina in Pierre now open for the season

Various amenities for boating and fishing are open for the season at Downs Marina in Pierre, providing convenient access to the Missouri River.

Both boat ramps and docks have been installed and are available for public use. Additional amenities that are also now open are the:

fish cleaning station, with water service turned on
restrooms located near the boat ramp (expected to open by Friday, April 17, 2026)
storm shelter and restroom facility located nearby

The City of Pierre encourages all users to:

be mindful of others,
follow posted guidelines, and
help keep the marina clean throughout the season.
