A 22-year-old Pierre man faces charges after a domestic incident Saturday morning.
Information from the Pierre Police Department says officers arrested Francis Fiddler after being called to the 100 block of Bulow Drive for an assault on Saturday just before 11am. Fiddler and the victim were engaged in an argument when Fiddler strangled the victim. As she attempted to call for help, Fiddler took the phone from her. A third party attempted to intervene to assist the victim and was struck by Fiddler.
Officers took Fiddler into custody. He’s charged with Aggravated Assault Domestic Violence, Simple Assault and Interference with Emergency Communication. In addition, Fiddler is being held on a Minnehaha County warrant for Burglary.
