Due to difficulties with the licensing system, the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department is extending the deadline for hunters to purchase limited draw preference points to 11:59 p.m. CT tomorrow (Dec. 18).
If an applicant was successful in a draw in which they used their preference points, they aren’t eligible to purchase a preference point for that season. Applicants may only purchase one preference point for each big game season per year.
These purchased preference points will not appear on applicant’s license profiles until mid-January.
