City Commission approves purchase of new truck for Pierre Volunteer Fire Departmwent

The Pierre City Commission has approved the purchase of a new fire engine for the Pierre Volunteer Fire Department.

Chief Ian Paul says this bid is about $35-thousand dollars lower than the initial bid received a month or so ago.

Delivery of the new fire engine will take about 11 months.
