Beginning Monday (April 5), Avera Medical Group Pierre Clinic urgent care hours will be Monday-Friday 8am–5pm and Saturday 9am–noon. Urgent care is by appointment only.
In addition, the Avera retail pharmacy in Pierre is now providing curbside delivery. Pharmacy hours remain Monday-Friday 8:30am–5:30pm and Saturday 9am–noon. Call the pharmacy in advance at 605-224-7334 to set up prescription orders and billing information.
Patients with upper respiratory symptoms who are going to be seen in a clinic are asked to report these symptoms in advance by phone. Not reporting these symptoms puts health care workers at risk. If exposed, they may need to be in isolation and are unable to care for patients for weeks.
Patients may schedule appointments as virtual visits instead of in-person visits. Virtual visits are face-to-face visits via smartphone, tablet or computer. If any medications are needed, these can be prescribed via the virtual visit. Outreach visits may be done via virtual visits as well.
