A 90 day checkup showed good news for a Pierre/Fort Pierre resident and wife of one of South Dakota’s US Senators.
Jean and Senator Mike Rounds traveled to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., last week for a post-radiation checkup and after several days of testing, no evidence of cancer was found.
The Rounds say they’re thankful Jean’s treatment has remained successful and they’re grateful for all the prayers and support they’ve received.
Jean was diagnosed with a malignant high-grade aggressive tumor near her sciatic nerve in June 2019. Over the past year, she underwent six successful rounds of chemo, surgery to remove the remaining portion of her tumor and radiation treatment which was completed in February.
