Last night in high school football The Ipswich Edmunds Central Tigers put up 434 yards of total offense and defeated The North Border Titans in Leola. The Tigers ran the ball 37 times for 286 yards and 3 touchdowns. They threw the ball 8 of 17 for 148 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Titans had 241 yards on the ground and 3 touchdowns in the defeat. Carson Gohl ran the ball 22 times for 134 yards and Luke Peterson ran the ball 10 times for 120 yards for the Tigers. Will Nordine had a night that included 10 carries for 100 yards for the Titans. The Mobridge Pollock Tigers took on the Sisseton Redmen at Tiger Stadium in Mobridge last night for homecoming. The Redmen got on the board first on their first drive from scrimmage. Anthony Tchida threw a pass to Andrew Kranhold from 20 yards out resulting in a touchdown. The 2 point Conversion was unsuccessful and Sisseton took the early lead in the game. For the Redmen it was the only time in the game they had the lead. Mobridge Pollock got on the board with the first play from scrimmage as Cayden Eisemann hit Braden Goehring for a 58 yard touchdown and then Goehring hit the point after. Hudson Filler sacked Tchida resulting in a fumble that Ashton Pfitzer picked up and ran back for a touchdown for the Tigers the PAT was no good and it was 13 to 6 Tigers. Cayden Eisemann hit Braden Goehring for a five yard touchdown and the two point conversion was good and Mobridge Pollock had 21 to 6 lead after one quarter. In the second quarter Isaiah Harrison ran in from the 4 and scored for the Redmen and the two point conversion was good making the score 21 to 14 Mobridge Pollock. Eisemann would throw two more touchdown passes in the second quarter and at halftime it was Mobridge Pollock 35 Sisseton 14. In the end the Tiger’s where too much for the Redmen and won the game 43 to 22. Cayden Eisemann went 17 for 26 and 275 yards with 4 touchdowns in the game. Bryston Goehring had 4 catches for 112 yards and Braden Goehring had 5 catches for 98 yards. The Tigers will host Webster Area next Friday night at Tiger Stadium.
The Mobridge Pollock Golf team will compete next week at the Region 3A meet in Mitchell on Monday and the Mobridge Pollock volleyball team will be in Onida tomorrow for a tournament.
