ABERDEEN – Keenan Howard scored twice and set up two other goals and Jaden Flor also scored two Sunday as the Oahe Capitals registered their eighth straight win to start the season, 8-1 over the Aberdeen Cougars at Odde Ice Arena.
Howard scored twice in a three-goal first period for the Capitals. Other goals came from Elliot Leif, Ashton Griese, Raef Briggs and Andrew Gordon. In goal, Kieran Duffy made 21 saves.
The Capitals will host Watertown Saturday at the Expo Center in Fort Pierre to round out their annual “Pink the Rink” day. Proceeds will go to the Countryside Hospice House to support those affected by cancer.
