MINNEAPOLIS – A limited number of fans will be allowed to attend Twins’ spring training games at Hammond Stadium in Lee County, Florida.
The Twins received approval from Major League Baseball and officials in Lee County to allow a little more than 2,400 fans per game. The normal capacity is 8,730. There will be seating “pods” sold in sets of two or four contiguous seats.
As now scheduled, the Twins’ first spring training game is set for Hammond Stadium against the Orioles on Sunday, February 28. Pitchers and catchers are due to report on Thursday, February 18, with the first full squad workout on Tuesday, February 23.
