The Stanley County School Board will hold an election June 8.
School Supt. Dan Hoey says four candidates are running for two spots.
Hoey says Stanley County School District residents will have two polling locations on June 8.
Again, the Stanley County School Board candidates vying for two, three-year positions are Mitch Kleinsasser, Kevin Carter, Shaun Cronin (incumbent) and Kayla Magee. Current board member Chris Fosheim is running unopposed for his two-year seat. Polls will be open 7am-7pm Mountain Time with voting taking place at the Hayes Hall in Hayes and Parkview Auditorium in Fort Pierre.
The Pierre City Commission and the Pierre School Board also hold an election June 8.
The Pierre City Commission has two spots up for grabs. Those candidates are incumbent Jamie Huizenga, Todd Johnson, Amy Currie and Lucas Solberg. For Pierre School Board, there are five candidates for two positions– incumbents Dennis James and Randy Hartmann as well as Paul Giovanetti, Bree Oatman and Lindsay Strophus. As with any election, people should bring an approved photo ID with them to vote.
