At their meeting last week (June 3), the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Commission got a progress report on the work being done at the Bush’s Landing boat ramp along Lake Oahe.
GFP Division Director Scott Simpson says the access point north of Pierre in Sully County is one of the most used boat ramps along the Missouri River. He says the half-million dollar project underway will lengthen the boat ramp.
Simpson says the dock may need to be lengthened even more because of drought conditions and significantly reduced runoff into the Oahe reservoir.
Simpson says work on the Bush’s Landing boat ramp is behind schedule, but they’re hoping it will be finished by mid-month (June).
