An incoming freshman at Pierre TF Riggs High School will join middle and high school students from across the US at the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, DC, June 12-17, 2021.
Kailey Wallman is a past junior ambassador for the South Dakota chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and has been involved as a volunteer for various local organizations and schools.
Wallman says she’s excited to become a better leader in her school and community as well as helping to motivate others to be move involved. She plans on becoming an educator to impact other young lives.
Wallman was nominated to attend the conference by Georgia Morse Middle School social studies teacher Joseph Lehman.
