Today’s 100 degree heat is 15-ish degrees hotter than usual this time of year

Today’s high temperature is expected to top 100 degrees in parts of central South Dakota.

Weatherology meteorologist Paul Trambley says it’s normally in the low to mid 80s this time of year.

Trambley says thankfully the 100 degree heat will be short lived.
