From 2010 to 2020, the population center of Hughes County moved 21.1 yards north-northwest. Stanley County’s population center moved .9 miles northwest.
South Dakota ranks 4th among state’s whose population centers moved the farthest from 2010 to 2020. North Dakota had the largest population shift with theirs moving 6.4 miles. Arkansas was 2nd with a location movement of 5.1 miles and Nebraska was 3rd with its population center moving 4.9 miles.
