FORT MYERS, FL – Bailey Ober looked on form in his second spring start and received some offensive help from Jorge Polanco Thursday in the Twins’ 7-1 spring training win over the Tampa Bay Rays at Hammond Stadium.
Ober pitched the first three innings for his first win this spring, allowing no runs and only one hit, striking out four and walking one.
Polanco hit a two-run homer in the first inning, his first home run of the spring.
Relievers for the Twins (3-5) combined to allow just a run and three hits with six strikeouts in six innings.
Tim Beckham hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning.
Dylan Bundy is scheduled to start Friday when the Twins play the Pittsburgh Pirates in Bradenton, Florida.
