Sophomore Tessa Swiden has been named this week’s (April 4-8, 2022) Pierre TF Riggs High School First National Bank Fine Arts Performer of the Week. Here is her nomination from choir director, Mr. Bauck:
Tessa has really grown and developed as a soprano vocalist. She is a hard-working member of her soprano section in Treble Choir. She was involved in a trio and a duet at our Small Group contest earlier in the year. Most recently, Tessa auditioned for the ACDA South Dakota High School Honor Choir. This is a tough audition where a person sings a solo, a patriotic piece (a cappella), takes a written test over musical terms, and has to sight sing. She has put in a lot of hard work in preparation for the audition. Her voice is growing and changing and she is taking it all in stride and is always wanting to learn and become better.
