The South Dakota Governor’s Office of Economic Development has awarded over $2.7 million in Community Development Block Grant funds to four projects. Dupree, Isabel, Lead and Timber Lake will use the monies to help fund community projects that total more than $10 million.
CDBG awards include the following:
- The city of Dupree will use a $770,000 grant to assist with wastewater system improvements
- The city of Isabel will use a $770,000 grant to assist with wastewater infrastructure improvements
- The city of Lead will use a $429,937 grant to assist with water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer improvements
- The city of Timber Lake will use a $770,000 grant to assist with wastewater infrastructure improvements
The CDBG program provides funding to local governments to complete projects that improve living conditions. The program is funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and administered by the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
