Fort Pierre firefighters able to protect surrounding homes while fighting early morning blaze yesterday

The Fort Pierre Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire around 2 o’clock yesterday morning (June 21, 2022).

Assistant Chief Tye Odden says it was in the 300 block of Jamieson Drive, in the Marion’s Garden area.

He says it was tricky getting the fire put out.
