Fort Pierre will hold its annual 4th of July parade Monday (July 4, 2022) at 10am.
Organizing committee member Darby Nutter says this year’s parade marshal is Vern Thorson
Nutter says they’re hoping to have enough volunteers on horseback to carry all 50 state flags.
Committee member Tim Hughes says parade lineup starts at 8am.
Committee member and parade marshal Vern Thorson shared some reminders to help the parade flow smoothly.
For parade lineup, take the gravel road on east side of Tiger’s Tap to the empty lot on west side of the River Bluffs Homes office.
The annual Fort Pierre 4th of July Rodeo will be held at the Stanley County Fairgrounds Sunday and Monday. Performances start at 7 o’clock each night. Following the rodeo on the 4th, will be the annual Fort Pierre fireworks display.
