VERMILLION – One Bruns apparently isn’t enough for the South Dakota Coyotes.
Dakota Valley standout senior Isaac Bruns signed with South Dakota Men’s Basketball November 11 on National Signing Day, joining his brother Paul, who transferred to USD this season after one season at North Dakota.
Isaac Bruns, a 6-foot-4 guard, is the reigning Class A Player of the Year. He led Dakota Valley to a 26-0 season and the state championship last year while averaging 23.9 points per game and 8.7 rebounds and shooting 50 percent from the floor. Isaac also has a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Also, USD signed 6’9” forward Jake Brack from Omaha’s Skutt Catholic High School. Brack averaged 14.8 points and 7.2 rebounds a game in his junior season, and was first-team all-state in Class B.
The Coyotes also signed Shey Eberwein, a 6’5” guard from The Woodlands, Texas. Eberwein will be a captain for the Highlands in his senior year as he was in his junior season.
