BROOKINGS – Putting a tough loss at Bismarck far behind them, the Pierre Governor girls were efficient and persistent on the road on Tuesday.
Pierre swept past Brookings 57-31 at Bob Jostad Gymnasium to improve to 14-3.
Reese Terwilliger, open often on the baseline, led Pierre with 20 points. Remington Price hit three first-half three-pointers and scored 14. Maya Shorter equaled a career-high with 10 points off the bench.
Pierre led all the way after scoring first, leading 21-10 after one quarter and 32-17 at halftime.
Defensively, the Governors continued to cause mistakes, forcing 20 Brookings turnovers.
Tess Burns led Brookings (4-13) with eight points.
