PIERRE – A first complete game led to the first win for the Oahe Zap.
Nick Blessing pitched a complete game Friday to lead the Zap to their first-ever win in Independence League Baseball, 4-2 over the Badlands Big Sticks at Hyde Stadium.
Blessing allowed two runs and seven hits, striking out two and walking one.
The Zap (1-3) took the lead with two runs in the third inning on an RBI single by Trenton Duchscherer and a wild pitch.
The other runs for Oahe came in the sixth on a sacrifice fly by William Hoch and an RBI triple by Peyton McDowell.
