Solid Match Gives Pierre Volleyball Win At Mitchell

MITCHELL – Responding after their first loss, the Pierre Governors kept coming up with big plays on Tuesday.

Pierre held off Mitchell at Mitchell High School, 25-17, 19-25, 25-15, 25-20.

Abby Kropp had 12 kills for Pierre (4-1).  Campbell Boddicker registered 10 kills and an ace.   Reese Terwilliger had nine kills and a block.  Elly Broers served five aces.

A seven-point run in the third set turned a 2-1 deficit into an 8-2 Governor lead and Pierre was never headed in the rest of the match.  Broers served aces for three of those points.
