The Mobridge City Council held a regular meeting Wednesday (09-13-23) evening at City Hall.
Jerod with Moore Engineering asked the council to approve a change order on the wastewater treatment plant project and explained the reason why.
The estimated cost for the work on that change order will be around twenty-nine thousand dollars.
The council also approved the rejection of recent bids on the water treatment plant rehab and system storage projects. The plan is to re-bid them in December or January.
Council approved contracts with Midco Diving and Marine Services and KLM Engineering for the intake pipe inspection this fall.
Mayor Gene Cox read a list of upcoming community events from the City’s Event Coordinator.
A public hearing was held and approval given for the transfer of an off-sale liquor license for Merkel’s from Diniz Enterprises.
Two lots were declared surplus – one at 520 5th Avenue East and the other at 112 9th Street West in Mobridge.
Council approved the first reading of the 2024 Budget Ordinance. Mobridge City Finance Officer Heather Beck talked about the budget.
