RAPID CITY – In a return to play after 10 days between matches, Pierre Governor Volleyball was taken to the limit before winning Tuesday on the road.
The Governors defeated Rapid City Christian 25-22, 25-15, 19-25, 24-26, 15-10, for Pierre’s third five-set win in the last four matches.
Pierre (8-2) had three match points in the fourth set before Rapid City Christian rallied to force a fifth set, where Pierre had a six-point run for an 11-5 lead before hanging on.
Campbell Boddicker had 11 kills and six aces for the Governors. Reese Terwilliger had eight kills. Abby Kropp added seven kills and two aces. Campbell Cronin had six scoring blocks.
